So Sid Meier, master of all Turn Based Strategy games, is going to make a SPACE 4X game? Why yes. Please take my money.

Back in the day, Sid was involved behind the scenes, with other former Microproseians who now work at Firaxis, on Master of Orion 2. Which was, not coincidentally, the best game in the series, IMHO. So to see him coming out of his semi-retirement to put his name on this is more than a little inspiring. And the trailer doesn’t look half-bad either. Especially since apparently it will crossover with Beyond Earth…which I also have.

Indeed, it is the return of the Legend, as has been foretold. Baldur’s Gate, the King of all Fantasy RPGs. The greatest villain in the history of Role Playing: Joneleth Irenicus. If only because David Warner’s voice was  made for computerized wizarding villainy.

Now if someone did this treatment to Fallout 1 & 2 and Arcanum, life would be perfect.
